Why do Stingray's ambient channels appear on my TV but not in my channel guide?

If one of our ambient channels — such as Stingray Stargaze, Stingray Cityscape, or Stingray Zenlife — appears on your LG TV but can't be found in your channel guide, you're not alone. Here's why that happens and how to get the most out of these channels.

Why doesn't it appear in my channel guide?

Stingray's ambient channels are part of a curated Moodscape-type experience, delivered through a rotating lineup that blends ambient visuals and music throughout the day. Because they're featured within this experience rather than as standalone broadcast channels, they may not appear as separate, searchable entries in your LG channel guide — even after a full channel scan or firmware update.

This is expected behaviour and not a sign of any problem with your TV or setup.

How to get these channels listed in your guide

The best way to get Stingray's ambient channels added directly to your LG TV guide is to let LG know you want them. The more customers request a channel, the more likely LG is to prioritize it.

  • Visit LG's support site at www.lg.com/support
  • Go to Contact Us or Customer Support
  • Submit a channel request, mentioning the specific Stingray channel(s) you'd like to see in your guide
  • You can also reach LG by phone or live chat for faster acknowledgment

How to access these channels in the meantime

You can still enjoy all of our ambient channels right now. Simply leave your LG TV idle on the home screen — the Moodscape experience will activate automatically and rotate through channels like Stingray Stargaze, Stingray Cityscape, and Stingray Zenlife throughout the day.

We'd love to hear from you
